Okayama denim returns in two fits and three colors
Japanese street brand 417 EDIFICE has released the capsule collection “Le Japon Atelier” in collaboration with the Okayama denim production region. The lineup consists of a denim jacket and matching pants, with the pants offered in two styles: TYPE.1, a straight fit that falls in a clean line, and TYPE.2, a curved fit that follows the leg line. Three colors are available: classic indigo blue, a washed dark gray close to black, and natural ivory.
The collection highlights the denim-weaving techniques distinctive to the Okayama region and production processes within Japan. By adding proportions suited to today’s street silhouettes and clean finishing to fabric woven using traditional methods, it brings a heritage material into the contemporary wardrobe. The brand explained that the denim was designed as clothing that can be worn every day, comfortably and for a long time.
