Re-reading 63 Years of Racing Through 12 Looks

Sixty-three years of racing history reemerges as a 12-look fashion collection. The McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team collaborated with MA Fashion students at Central Saint Martins on “Designed to Race,” reinterpreting the team’s legacy and F1 engineering aesthetic through the perspective of next-generation designers.
The students explored F1’s technical image and the distinct aesthetics of the uniforms worn by James Hunt and Ayrton Senna. The result is a runway collection of 12 looks that translates racing history into the language of fashion education. Collaborating with a global sports brand and applying creativity in a real-world context are central to the project.
The collection is scheduled to be unveiled on September 16, 2026, at McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, UK, ahead of London Fashion Week. During the production process, Dell Technologies’ XPS laptops supported the students’ development of ideas. McLaren’s Louise McEwen emphasized F1’s cultural influence, while Fabio Piras highlighted the educational significance of real-world industry collaboration.

AI Prompts Enter the Process from Design to Production

In 3D-printed apparel, AI prompts are being treated as a central tool connecting design and production. Danit Peleg, founder of 3D Printed Fashion Lab, explained on The Interline’s weekly show that prompts sit at the heart of her design and production process. The discussion also addressed the requirements 3D-printed apparel must meet to achieve widespread adoption.
The discussion extended to sales models. Salesforce invested in Callimacus, which creates pageless e-commerce websites assembled in real time, while Daydream and THG Ingenuity were included in the broader trend of packaging AI capabilities as services. AI is connecting the product creation stage with the distribution stage, where customers discover and purchase products.
Meanwhile, SHEIN’s investment prospectus revealed thin margins, prompting renewed questions about the company’s differentiation. The efficiency of AI across production, mass manufacturing, and sales will be determined by actual scale and usage conditions, rather than by the technology’s name.

A Moodboard That Brings References Together on One Board and Connects Them to Seasonal Concepts
RealSnap’s moodboard is a feature that brings reference images and text together on one screen to organize the visual direction when brand marketers, lookbook designers, and e-commerce product-detail image managers establish a seasonal concept. It reduces the effort of managing scattered materials separately and explaining them again, while allowing the organized direction to carry into the next image-generation task.
It is particularly suitable for small teams with limited photography budgets or users who need to bring multiple references together into a single collection direction.
