New York lifestyle brand Saturdays NYC has released a new polo shirt deliberately made to look as if it has been worn for years. Based on French sportswear brand Lacoste's signature L.12.12 polo, the piece adds Saturdays NYC's own wash-and-fade treatment, creating a vintage texture that feels aged despite being brand new. It brings a relaxed New York downtown mood to the neatness typical of French sportswear.
The branding is thoroughly restrained. Just below the Lacoste crocodile patch on the left chest, 'S.N.Y.C' lettering is embroidered in small type, quietly placing the two brand names side by side, while the left sleeve adds only Saturdays NYC's signature slash icon. The wash treatment varies in strength and method by color, so even the same design takes on a different texture depending on the colorway.
The lineup includes six colors: white, black, navy, green, wine, and dark brown, with sizes ranging from S to XL. Introduced as the 'Lacoste customized by Saturdays NYC SS Polo,' this collaborative polo is currently available through Saturdays NYC.

A Pajama Shirt Reborn as a Jacket
Japanese select-store brand JOURNAL STANDARD relume has remade 1990s Brooks Brothers American-made nightwear into a shirt jacket for town wear. While keeping the silhouette of the original pajama shirt, it swaps in 60-count cotton stripe fabric, creating a dry, skin-friendly feel and a naturally wrinkled texture reminiscent of seersucker. The unlined 100% cotton body also keeps the shoulders light.
The key change is in the piping. Where a typical pajama shirt would use solid-color trim, this version makes the piping from the same striped fabric as the body, keeping the detail restrained while achieving a cohesive finish. The length, sleeve length, and cuff volume have been reduced to tidy up the loose loungewear proportions, while the collar has been made less rounded and finished with a button loop, bringing it closer to a crisp open-collar shirt.
