Sound of a SoundCloud mix, stitched into a jersey. MAAP's second collaboration

Cyclewear brand MAAP and Public Possession unveiled their second collaborative collection, 'Volume II,' on August 18. The collection brings together performance wear made for riding and lifestyle apparel made for everyday use in a single line. To mark the release, the two brands also put out a SoundCloud mix of tracks they picked together, framing the project as one that spans both clothing and music.
The riding lineup includes the Pro Air 3.0 and Emerge jerseys, the Team Bib Evo Cargo Bib (a one-piece cycling bottom with pockets), and a long-sleeve mesh t-shirt. These combine road bike performance fabrics and fits with Public Possession's graphics, described as a mix that blurs the line between performance wear and everyday clothing.
The lifestyle line adds short- and long-sleeve graphic t-shirts, crewnecks, hoodies, and rain pants, alongside a broad range of accessories including caps, musettes (small bags cyclists sling over the shoulder to carry snacks or belongings), socks, bottles, and an oversized tote bag. The collection goes on sale simultaneously at MAAP and Public Possession stores, the Munich store, and MAAP Lab locations worldwide, with MAAP Lab referring to the offline stores MAAP operates around the world.

Lip sales share jumped from 5% to 30%. Maybelline's bet on 'Love Island'

As Maybelline New York expanded its partnership with the reality dating show 'Love Island' into a third season, weekly sales of its new lip gloss rose tenfold from the show's June 2 premiere through the July 12 finale. According to figures from commerce intelligence platform Daash Intelligence, lip products' share of Maybelline's total sales also grew from under 5% to over 30% during this period.
The product behind the sales surge is the Lifter Gel Lip Oil-in-Gel, a new extension of the Lifter Gloss line, which has been on the market for six years. It comes in eight shades, is priced under $10 (about 14,000 won), and is sold at Target, CVS, Walmart, and Amazon. Maybelline launched the product four weeks ahead of the premiere, distributing it in advance across every channel including TikTok Shop and the official 'Love Island' app.
During the broadcast, Maybelline also ran TikTok content and product bundle collaborations with Season 8 winners Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai. Daash Intelligence co-founder Melissa Munnerlyn noted that this sales pattern reflects a cultural shift in which the time between discovering a product and actually purchasing it has noticeably shortened. Maybelline New York president Yasmin Dastmalchi explained that the partnership grew beyond simple product exposure into an engagement-driven campaign that ran throughout the season.
